The Financial Services for the City of Grosse Pointe Farms are provided by the four department divisions of Finance, Treasury, Assessing and Utility Billing. The mission of theses departments is to provide accurate, timely and transparent financial information in the most efficient manner possible.
The Finance Department is responsible for all financial and budgeting processes of the City. Finance provides internal services including payroll, employee benefit administration and accounting, as well as external services including vendor payments and financial reporting.
The Treasury Department is responsible for collecting and reporting all revenue received by the City, including property taxes. The Treasury Department also issues dog licenses.
The Assessing Department establishes and maintains records of property assessments and taxable valuations for land, buildings and personal property in the City.
The Utility Billing Division monitors usage and invoices customers for water, sewer and recycling services.
